Remove one original wheel nut or wheel bolt from each wheel of your vehicle. When changing a wheel later on, remove the Locking Wheel Nut first and install it last.
IMPORTANT– Before installing the locking wheel nut, please constantly examine that the wheel lock nut has the exact same thread, seat, and shaft/overall length as the original nut/bolt !
Install each locking wheel nut/lock by hand on each wheel. Apply axial pressure on the torque wrench in the instructions of the locking wheel nut to avoid the provided wheel nut key from slipping or jamming. If the locking wheel nut has a floating seat washer/rotating collar ensure that this is connected to the lock nut/bolt prior to installing.
We do not recommend making use of oil, grease or lubes on threads.
3.Turn the wheel by hand to check whether it rotates freely and without impediment.
IMPORTANT Do not utilize an impact wrench: this can harm the locking wheel nut, key, and your vehicle. After the first thirty miles, please check once again that the locking wheel nut sits appropriately, and if needed re-tighten it with a torque wrench. So that you can access your locking wheel nut type in the occasion of a wheel/Tyre change, we advise that you keep your locking wheel nut key, the initial nuts/bolts for your vehicle, and the setup instructions in a secure location.
Removing tight locking wheel nuts/bolts.
CARE You are recommended to wear protective gloves and goggles when removing tight wheel nut locks!- Firstly, tighten up all the basic hex bolts on the wheel with the over-tightened locking wheel nut to minimize the pressure on the actual locking wheel nut. When tightening up the basic bolt fasteners, ensure that you do not damage the thread
KEEP IN MIND: Contrary to the directions for installing the locking wheel nut, an impact wrench is an appropriate tool for removing wheel nuts that are too tight. When the very first effort stops working to loosen up the wheel nut, attempt once again. The effect wrench must exert a sufficient torque.
Remove the locking wheel nut with the locking wheel nut key. When loosening, you must always utilize the loosening up tool to put in pressure on the locking wheel nut and locking wheel nut key’s longitudinal axis.
Make certain that the loosening up tool you use is not applied obliquely (at an angle). Oblique applications can cause the locking wheel nut key or coding’s to deform or fracture.
When the loosening procedure described above stops working, please loosen (on four hole rims) the standard fastener/bolt opposite the locking wheel nut. On five hole rims, loosen the two basic fasteners/bolts opposite the locking wheel nut. After loosening, duplicate the procedure explained under (2 ).
